In 2014, Barrett’s debut collection of short stories, Young Skins, won the prestigious Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award, the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature, and the Guardian First Book Award. In the podcast, Colin Barrett reads from ‘The Clancy Kid’ and ‘Calm with Horses’.
